Wrappin' it Up
Wow! Where does the time go? I would have written sooner, but I have a lot of paper cuts from wrapping presents. And unwrapping presents, seeing what they are and then trying to make it look like they haven’t been opened yet. (Just kidding---I quit doing that when I was 34.) Someone once said that it is better to give than to receive. Not true. I think it’s a tie, because I love both!
A Very Terry Christmas at the Mirage has been a blast. We are doing some of my favorite Christmas songs and everybody is having so much fun with it. (No one has thrown a Sugar Plum at me, anyway.) The first couple of nights that we did it the audience enjoyed it, but as we get closer and closer to The Big Day they are becoming more jacked up. Even the occasional sourpuss can’t help but melt a little when they hear “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire…” (Don’t ever forget that Scrooge was a fictional character.)
Tomorrow (the 22nd) I am singing the National Anthem at the Maaco Las Vegas Bowl. Last Saturday both teams came to the show and I had a little fun goofing around with them. I even dressed one of the players up like Cher and did a duet on “I Got You Babe” with him. You haven’t heard screaming and laughing until you put a 6’ 5” 250 pound football player in a slinky dress and long black wig in front of his teammates and opponents!
CMT is rerunning my special “Terry Fator Live From Las Vegas” on Dec. 26th and 27th. Check local listings, as they say.
Well, that’s it for now………Wait. It feels like I’m forgetting something……Hmmmm. Oh yeah!.....MERRY CHRISTMAS
